2nd shift Produce Production Manager

We are currently seeking a dynamic 2nd Shift Produce Production Manager to join our team and oversee production operations during the second shift.
Schedule: 12pm-8pm until trained then 2pm - 10pm after training. May need to come in earlier or stay later than team.
Compensation: $65K-$75K DOQEssential Job Functions:
• Manage all 2nd shift production activities, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with company standards.
• Monitor production to achieve daily and weekly goals while addressing inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
• Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure products meet safety, quality, and freshness standards.
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to identify issues, execute corrective/preventive actions.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on waste reduction, labor efficiency, and process optimization.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including FDA, HACCP, GMP, and FSMA standards.
• Analyze production data to identify trends, create actionable plans, and drive measurable improvements.
• Supervise and support the 2nd shift team by providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
• Address workforce needs, including scheduling, shift adjustments, and conflict resolution, while fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Enforce safety protocols and practices to minimize workplace injuries and maintain a safe production environment.
• Oversee sanitation of equipment and production areas, ensuring readiness for operations and compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with maintenance to reduce equipment downtime and ensure operational reliability.
• Serve as the liaison between the 1st and 2nd shifts, ensuring seamless handoffs and updates.
• Maintain accurate inventory tracking and ensure raw material availability to meet production demands.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency, bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years work experience as Supervisor or similar role (In a manufacturing environment preferred)
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Experience with creating reports and tracking data.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and utilize ladders and other warehouse related equipment.
- Ability to stand, move, and bend for entire shift.
- Ability to reach overhead.
- Ability to work in a cold environment for full shifts.
