Inventory Specialist
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and product quality. The Inventory Analyst is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing inventory levels to ensure accurate stock management and support operational efficiency. This role involves performing regular inventory audits to minimize discrepancies.
Essential Job Functions:
Inventory Control
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across multiple locations, ensuring alignment with company policies and procedures.
- System Maintenance: Ensure Produce Pro and the inventory management systems are updated and accurate.
- Investigate underlying causes of inventory variances and propose improvements.
- Update inventory records in the system promptly and accurately.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and correct variances.
- Organize and maintain stock in designated storage areas ensuring all inventory is labeled properly.
- Relocate received products from the receiving dock to designated storage locations, ensuring FIFO is applied.
- Assist in preparing inventory reports for management.
- Follow safety and compliance guidelines for handling materials.
- Perform routine inventory audits and reconcile any discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
- Support the implementation and improvement of inventory control systems and procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; certification in inventory management is a plus.
- Experience: 2–4 years in inventory analysis or warehouse operations.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of lean inventory practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and reporting.
Physical Requirements
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and utilize ladders and other warehouse related equipment
- Ability to stand, move, and bend for entire shift.
- Ability to reach overhead.
- Ability to work in a cold environment.
