Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Generalist with a strong focus on recruiting to join our HR team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process, as well as providing comprehensive HR support across various functions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering a positive workplace culture. This is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys a mix of hands-on recruiting and strategic HR responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruiting (60% of Role)

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs for warehouse, production, transportation, sales, and administration roles.
  • Utilize various recruiting platforms, social media, and networking to source candidates.
  • Conduct interviews, assessments, and reference checks to evaluate candidates.
  • Facilitate and participate in the onboarding process to ensure effective integration of new hires.

General HR Support (40% of Role)

  • Foster positive employee relations by addressing employee inquiries, resolving conflicts, and providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR initiatives, programs, and policies that support organizational goals.
  • Participate in performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluation, and employee development.
  • Collaborate in the development and execution of training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career advancement.
  • Support compliance with labor laws and regulations, ensuring that HR practices are consistent with legal requirements.
  • Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends and recommend improvements in HR practices and processes.
  • Support team with payroll, leave processes and workers compensation claims.
  • Assist with safety, training, and compliance initiatives.
  • Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and retention efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, related field, or 2-4 years of HR Generalist experience, HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is preferred.
  • Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or produce/agriculture a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment technologies, applicant tracking systems, and sourcing strategies.
  • Experience in full-cycle recruiting across various levels and functions, entry to professional level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.
