Production Worker/Fresh Produce Processor - FT

Job Overview: Clean, slice, sort and package produce products according to line leader and department supervisor specifications. Maintain sanitized and safe work stations and work practices.

Compensation: $16.25+ hour

Essential Qualifications 

  • Grade, classify, clean, slice, prepare and sort products according to sizes, weights, colors, or other specifications and package accordingly.
  • Work in clean, organized and safe manner.
  • Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems, and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.
  • Trimming and cutting fresh produce, placing in produce bags, trays, or other packaging.

Physical Demands

  • Stand, walk, manually manipulate and reach outward constantly.
  • Lift, push, pull and carry up to 20 lbs. frequently.

Schedule

  • Production shifts are Monday - Friday starting at 7:30am. 
  • Full-time employees are scheduled five shifts per week, with opportunities for over-time. 

Work Environment

The production room is refrigerated and maintained at a temperature of approximately 38 degrees at all times. The work room floor is wet as a result of the fresh produce washing and maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment. Boots, smocks and hairnets are provided for all production workers.
